The status is used to categorize a system, application, or configuration item. This status is not a lifecycle phase, which is documented separately.
Note that the status of this doctype may be different from that of services. Configuration items may have a different set of statuses. If this is not the case in your context, consider to replace configuration item status or use delegate documents for overlapping statuses.
