The status is used to categorize a system, application, or configuration item. This status is not a lifecycle phase, which is documented separately.

Note that the status of this doctype may be different from that of services. Service statuses may be different from configuration item statuses. If this is not the case in your context, consider to replace configuration item status or use delegate documents for overlapping statuses.
