projectdoc Toolbox 4.4

Today we released version 4.4 of the projectdoc Toolbox for Confluence!

projectdoc supports agile teams creating and maintaining project documentation. It provides templates and tools to improve the collaboration of team members.

This release provides new features, improvements, and bug fixes.

For more details refer to projectdoc Toolbox 4.4 Release Notes.

Today we added a new tip on

projectdoc Bulk Changes to Documents

for the projectdoc Toolbox.

The tip introduces how to integrate the projectdoc documents into your processes using the Web API Extension and cURL.

What is projectdoc?

The projectdoc Toolbox is a collection of a large number of tools to help teams to create modular, agile documentation collaboratively and with fun. The toolbox is an add-on for Confluence and is available on the Atlassian Marketplace.

The tools in the projectdoc Toolbox consist basically of macros, doctypes, and a handful of conventions. The number of these tools is overwhelming, especially for new users.

One Tip at a Time

Learning a new tool is not easy because users need to get their tasks done. Learning a new tool takes time, time that is not available.

Learning by tips - one tip at a time

Users learn some interesting aspects of projectdoc by reading one tip at a time. The tips show aspects of projectdoc and link to resources to learn more about a specific top - just in case.

Feedback welcome!

The path issue with the REST API Browser has been resolved! Version 3.2.3 fixes the problem.

Again we can take advantage of the feature that makes the API documentation available in Confluence!

We documented the problem in a post Problems with the Web API and the REST API Browser.

It appears that this version of the REST API Browser (still) does not cover the latest version of Confluence. Therefore you probably need to download the latest artifact of the app from the Version History page and install it manually. We recommend to test your use cases prior to installing! We already ran the 3.2.2 on a more recent version of Confluence and encountered no problems with that or the latest version of the app so far.

Here is the great news:

The feature will be usable again with the projectdoc Toolbox 4.4 and the Web API Extension 6.2.1.

We are visiting OOP 2020!

This year we attend the OOP in Munich again!

We are looking forward to the OOP 2020 with a large list of very interesting sessions and keynotes.

It starts tomorrow (3rd of February 2020) and we will be there on Tuesday and Wednesday. We hope to meet a lot of friends and IT enthusiasts there!
