New Code Campfire article on Atlassian Developer Community

Atlassian has a new series of interviews on their Developer Community! Anton was fortunate being interviewed by Aryan in the first Code Campfire episode to tell his story from the perspective of an app developer  by the digital campfire. So if you are interested on what makes Anton and smartics tick and what is the projectdoc Toolbox all about, head to the article at Code Campfire Series: Anton Kronseder from smartics!

Atlassian Confluence is an amazing platform for developing tools to improve team collaboration and organize your knowledge either internally for your company or share it with customers all over the world. It does not only allow you to deploy your solutions on a data center platform, you are also provided with means to advertise and sell your products to your customers on the Atlassian Marketplace. For smartics, as a small company located in Munich, Bavaria, (yes! Oktoberfest, Beer, Dirndl and Lederhosen are the right associations! (wink)) Atlassian provides great services and partner programs to be able to concentrate on the product.

With the projectdoc Toolbox and Userscripts for Confluence we develop a No Code / Low Code solution to create impressive information architectures that fit exactly to your requirements. The Toolbox, as the name suggests, is a set of tools that enables you to integrate automatic lists, automatic links, multi-transclusion (or multi-excerpts in Confluence lingo) that allows you easily to

  • create structure on your pages (using doctypes - a specialized form of page blueprints)
  • create structure on your spaces (using space blueprints)
  • create structure on your site (using space closures)

While the projectdoc Toolbox focuses on providing tools for you to create your blueprints, Userscripts for Confluence allows to put JavaScript code to your Confluence to make things happen that are out of scope of blueprints. Think of executing code for visual effects like banner, help tools, or hide some content on specific pages, specific types of pages, or a specific audience of your site.

But keep in mind that creating the structure of your information architecture is not an easy task that can be completed without knowing what you want to accomplish. See Agile Documentation for principles and practices to guide you and get you going. If you have problems getting started or you need guidance during the process of creating an maintaining your information architecture, please get in touch!

smartics and their partners are here to help and provide professional services to get work done!
