titleDescription

There is typically one site-wide index space all other spaces delegate to. Typically it makes no sense to have Resource Types, Topic Types, or Experience Levels defined more than once. Often organizations define Subjects, Categories, and Tags also in one place to provide a common organization of pages that can be accessed by browsing. The homepages for those organizing document types are found in index spaces.

Note Box

Organizing doctypes provide a browsing facility. They specify metadata for documents.

Entity doctypes provide information on entities of a domain. These are for instance: Resource, Topic, and Organization.

There may be a hierarchy of index spaces. For instance a site-wied index space for all basics and an index space for each major project or client.

Note Box

To delegate the homepage of a given doctype to another space it needs to be deleted in a delegating space.

If the homepage has to be created later, use the homepage blueprint wirzard. Just type 'Homepage' in the selection text field and get the wizards listed for each doctype add-on.
