Learn about macros from the projectdoc Toolbox help teams to transclude content snippets from remote information servers.

The HTML Include Macro makes it easy to transclude HTML content provided on a remote server. This is useful if your team generates information on a server you want to render in your wiki server instance.

The projecdoc Toolbox adds some features with the Text Snippet Macro so that teams can transclude from any text file and limit the transclusion to a portion of the page.

Note that in order to not run into cross-site-scripting attacks, you should enable these macros only in safe environments where you can trust all users with write privileges. You must also be sure that the server providing the content is friendly and will not exploit the rendering of the content on your wiki instance.

Transclude Remote Content

HTML Include Macro

The usage of the macro is very simple:

Add the URL to the HTML page you want to render inside your wiki and you are done.

Text Snippet Macro

The macro provides options to specify the URL to the resource and to locate content within the resource either by text marker or line numbers

In addition to that it also provides the features of the Code Block Macro.

This makes rendering the code snippet nicely formatted a breeze.
