The term is used by Confluence to describe the technique to transclude one or more content fragments from one or more documents.

Relation

If a document uses excerpts to include one or more fragments from one or more other documents, we talk about multi-excerpts. This technique is helpful to provide multiple views on a document or topic. It is one tool to reuse content.
