I’m a software developer with a focus on build processes and continuous integration for Java software development teams. Moreover I like the job of helping our customers to adapt the software development process to their needs.

Four days a week I am on-site developing software, constructing and discussing architectures, finding solutions for software development problems and also solving business related challenges. The fifth day I spend with developing open source software and our documentation tool The projectdoc Toolbox for Atlassian Confluence.

I studied computer science at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, diploma (master) in 2000. Starting 1991 until 2000 I worked part-time as a freelancer for different companies as a trainer and a specialist for computer systems. Since 1998 I specialized on Java.

By obtaining a certificate as a Java programmer (2001) and Scrum Master (2008) and reading many books on software development and architecture I follow the concept of lifelong learning.
Together with Robert I founded smartics in 2001. smartics is the result of our commitment to enhance and improve software development whenever and whereever possible.

Since 2009 we focus working on tools to make documentation for teams easier. In 2013 we began to port our solution from Maven to Confluence. The projectdoc Toolbox - an add-on to support teams to communicate and collaborate - is available on the Atlassian Marketplace and is continuously evolving as we discover more and more use cases for more and more different users.

If you have questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate.
