projectdoc Toolbox 4.2

Today we released version 4.2 of the projectdoc Toolbox for Confluence!

projectdoc supports agile teams creating and maintaining project documentation. It provides templates and tools to improve the collaboration of team members.

This release provides new features, improvements, and bug fixes, featuring Doctype as a Parameter and improved Support for Attachments.

This version provides enhancements for creating bookmarks. Therefore also update the Web API Extension, the Information Systems Extension, and the Bookmarklets Extension.

Since the definition of the doctype is now a macro parameter (which still can be overridden by a property for backwards compatibility), updating all doctype add-ons is also recommended.

For more details refer to projectdoc Toolbox 4.2 Release Notes.

Today we added a new tip on

Bookmarklets for projectdoc

for the projectdoc Toolbox.

  1. Alter Page Content
  2. Show Metadata
  3. Create based on projectdoc Document
  4. Create based on Web Page

What is projectdoc?

The projectdoc Toolbox is a collection of a large number of tools to help teams to create modular, agile documentation collaboratively and with fun. The toolbox is an add-on for Confluence and is available on the Atlassian Marketplace.

The tools in the projectdoc Toolbox consist basically of macros, doctypes, and a handful of conventions. The number of these tools is overwhelming, especially for new users.

One Tip at a Time

Learning a new tool is not easy because users need to get their tasks done. Learning a new tool takes time, time that is not available.

Learning by tips - one tip at a time

Users learn some interesting aspects of projectdoc by reading one tip at a time. The tips show aspects of projectdoc and link to resources to learn more about a specific top - just in case.

Feedback welcome!

If you have questions or comments, please get in touch!

Today we added a new tip on

Hide projectdoc Tools within Browser

for the projectdoc Toolbox.

The tip shows an alternative way to deal with too many doctypes and macros on the team member level.

Tip: Reporting

Today we added a new tip on

Reporting

for the projectdoc Toolbox.

The tip shows how to use the Display Table Macro to render result sets of your queries that match specific documents. The report is typically a table with each document of the result set rendered in a row, each selected property in a column.
